As I’ve posted previously I have a good sized tank in the living room and for the last 5 years its ran 2x 45 watt T8 tubes.  Recently one of the tubes went and with the rise of more afordable LED light bars I thought I’d pick up a couple of cheap Amazon China specials to see what they’re like.

My goals here were to reduce energy consumption and if possible increase light available without breaking the bank.  I went for the 75-97cm versions of these AquarienEco LED Light Bar they are very cheap as you would expect from no name Chinese lights but lets see what they’re really like.  Obviously no massive competition to things like the TMC and Fluval light bars etc but when you can have 4 of these to the cost of 1 more well known brand I figured it was worth a shot.

I’ve done this as a video unboxing and mini review I thought I’d give it a try instead of typing a wall of text let me know what you think either on here or on the comments on YouTube.  I have a few more aquatics bits to play with come the new year so hopefully I’ll update things more often and get some more equipment reviews out for you all.
